About Gary
Gary Rohrmayer is an executive leader with a can-do attitude, navigating both startup ventures and established organizations toward significant growth and lasting impact.
Growing up in a family deeply entrenched in entrepreneurship, Gary's life took a transformative turn in his early 20s with a dramatic conversion, igniting his passion for starting new churches across the Midwest. As a pastor, author, speaker, coach, trainer, and executive leader, he brings a unique focus to mobilizing and mentoring leaders in the mission of Jesus.
With over three decades of experience in church planting, Gary has been instrumental in launching over 200 new churches and training countless church planters and pastors, both nationally and internationally. Founding White Stone Community Church in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, in 1988, he later ventured into resource and consulting ministry with Your Journey Resources, crafting reproducible evangelistic and discipleship materials. His spiritual conversation tool, The Spiritual Journey Guide, has reached millions, alongside his portfolio of 17 books and 7 eBooks. Transitioning to a broader scope, Gary took on the role of Director of Church Planting for Converge MidAmerica in 1998, later assuming the presidency in 2010. Under his leadership, Converge MidAmerica has burgeoned from 125 to 850 churches, now known as Converge MSC (MidAmerica|Southeast|Caribbean).
Today, Gary spearheads AXELERATE, a multi-denominational initiative providing executive coaching and training for national and regional denominational leaders in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, church planting and church revitalization. To date, AXELERATE has impacted over 30 denominations and networks, who collectively are impacting over 33,000 churches. His driving vision remains steadfast: ensuring no leader journeys alone. Gary and his wife, Mary, reside in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, where they cherish time with their three grown children and three grandchildren.
Gary is available to encourage your organization, church or gathering to speak or lead a workshop on any topics related to the missional advancement of the gospel of Jesus. Contact his assistant with your request here. Thank you for your interest.
